Skilled trades and technology careers are important for our economy and an excellent career path for many young Canadians. But many don’t really know what these careers look like. That’s where National Skilled Trades and Technology Week (NSTTW) comes in. It’s an opportunity for Canadian youth to see skills and technology demonstrations, and also to get their hands on some of it.
Organized on the national level by Skills Compétences Canada, the first week of November is a week of events and information to promote career opportunities in skilled trades and technology in Canada. Member organizations, such as our Yukon chapter, engage with business and political leaders to help focus media attention on skilled trades and technology activities.
